Intel's Prescott, at Last?

(Business 2.0) – It was supposed to ship in October. Then December. Now Intel hints that its 3.4-gigahertz Prescott chipset, with its 90-nanometer manufacturing process, will get out the door by mid-February. Intel hopes that the Prescott, an upgrade of the Pentium 4, will dominate high-end desktop PC sales by the end of the year. If yet another deadline slips, however, Intel may begin to lose ground to AMD's rival 64-bit chips.
