Yandex NV is a holding company, which engages in the provision of intelligent products and services powered by machine learning and other technologies. It operates through the following segments: Search and Portal; E-Commerce, Mobility, and Delivery; Plus and Entertainment Services; Classifieds; and Other Business Units and Initiatives. The Search and Portal segment includes search, geo, weather, and number of other services. The E-Commerce, Mobility, and Delivery segment is involved in transactional online-to-offline businesses including mobility businesses such as ride, Yandex drive, and scooters; e-commerce businesses such as Yandex market, Yandex Lavka, and grocery delivery services of Yandex eats and delivery; and other O2O businesses such as Yandex delivery, Yandex eats and delivery, and Yandex fuel. The Plus and Entertainment Services segment focuses on Yandex subscription services such as Yandex Plus, Yandex Music, Kinopoisk, Bookmate, Yandex Afisha, and production center Plus studio. The Classifieds segment provides Auto.ru, Yandex realty, Yandex rent, and Yandex travel. The Other Business Units and Initiatives segment offers a self-driving vehicles business known as Yandex SDG, Yandex Cloud and Yandex 360, Yandex education, devices and Alice, FinTech, and number of other experiments as well as unallocated corporate expenses. The company was founded by Elena Kolmanovskaya, Ilya Segalovich, Mikhail Fadeev, and Arkady Volozh in 1989 and is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
