Investment Objective The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation; current income is a secondary consideration. The fund invests primarily in equity securities of small-capitalization ("small-cap") companies. The manager considers a small-cap company to be one that has market capitalization within the range of $100 million to $2.5 billion. The fund will invest at least 90% of its total assets in equity securities- of which at least 80% of its total assets will be invested in the equity securities of small-cap companies. It may invest in derivative instruments- including put and call options.
