Hyatt Hotels Corp. is a global hospitality company. It manages, franchises, owns and develops Hyatt branded hotels, resorts and residential and vacation ownership properties around the world under the Hyatt, Park Hyatt, Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brand names. It operates its business through four reportable segments: Americas Management & Franchising, Southeast Asia, as well as China, Australia, South Korea & Japan (ASPAC) Management & Franchising, Europe, Africa, the Middle East & Southwest Asia (EAME/SW) Asia Management and Owned and Leased hotels. The Americas Management & Franchising segment is a combination of hotel management and licensing its family brands to franchisees located in the U.S., Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean. The ASPAC Management segment is a combination of hotel management and licensing its family brands to franchisees located in Southeast Asia, as well as China, Australia, South Korea and Japan. The EAME/SW Asia Management segment includes hotel management of its family brands located primarily in Europe and the Middle East as well as countries along the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Sea, and India. The Owned and Leased Hotels segment owns and leases hotel properties located in the U.S but also in certain international locations. It develops, sells and manages vacation ownership properties in selected locations as part of the Hyatt Residence Club and also provides services to license trademarks with respect to residential ownership units that are often adjacent to a Hyatt-branded full service hotel. Hyatt Hotels was founded on August 4, 2004 and is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
