The company provides services through its principal operating subsidiary, Idaho Power Co. Idaho Power is the parent of Idaho Energy Resources Co., a joint venture in Bridger Coal Co., which mines and supplies coal to the Jim Bridger generating plant owned in part by Idaho Power. It also owns natural gas-fired power plants and coal-fired generating stations. The company operates its business through utility operations segment. The utility operations segment's primary source of revenue is the regulated operations of Idaho Power. Idaho Power's regulated operations include the generation, transmission, distribution, purchase, and sale of electricity. IDACORP was founded on October 1, 1998 and is headquartered in Boise, ID.
