AT&T buys Time Warner for $85 billion

The deal will be subject to review by government regulators that could take more than a year. AT&T and Time Warner have agreed to a mega $85 billion deal in the latest big-business bid to influence the future of media. Time Warner is the parent company of CNN, TNT, HBO, the Warner Bros. studio, and a number of other TV channels and websites.
