Top 10 national minimum wages in the world

These countries have rules ensuring their workers receive some of the highest minimum wages in the world, according to a report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

This data shows hourly minimum wages in each country from 2013. The currency is converted into U.S. dollars using the OECD's purchasing power parity calculation.

Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Austria, Switzerland and Italy were not included in this OECD list because these nations do not have federal rules on minimum wages. However, many of these nations are known for paying relatively high wages because of the strength of worker unions.

* Germany implemented a minimum wage in 2015 for the first time ever. This minimum wage is deflated to 2013 prices and included in the report.
