Classic Land Rovers have long been collectible vehicles with a dedicated following. If you're old enough, you may remember a Series II, painted in zebra stripes, from the late '60s TV show "Daktari."
In general, SUVs are different from most collectible cars in that they're not expected to be "all original." It's understood that most SUVs will have been modified at some point in their lives. Land Rovers, however, are an exception to this rule. Land Rovers buyers want them to be as close to their original condition as possible.
