The interior of the i3 will elicit much less controversy than the exterior. It doesn't look at all like the cockpit of a typical automobile but few would say it's not a beautiful space. In keeping with the environmental theme, just about everything in here is, in some way, less environmentally nasty than the stuff inside your typical car.
The wood, for instance, is minimally treated. The door panels and the seat covers are made entirely from renewable plant fibers. Even the leather is tanned using only natural ingredients.
