This is the 11th year in a row the Toyota (TM) Prius has topped this category. In Consumer Reports' tests, it got 44 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving, which is the best rating for any five-passenger non-plug-in car. Its roomy interior and hatchback body style also make it very practical.
