The Prius got a "staggering" 52 miles per gallon in Consumer Reports' fuel economy tests, the most the magazine has ever recorded in a non-plug-in car. It also has "excellent reliability," according to the magazine's owner surveys. A recent redesign has given the new Prius a quieter, more comfortable ride and better handing, the magazine says.
