This 24-karat gold-plated Wii
5 of 5
For the lover of everything that sparkles, it's sometimes not enough to have a gold-plated phone, car or toilet. The company Goldgenie says it will turn everyday objects into a gold-plated collectors item, be it a bicycle, a golf club or an iPad.
A Nintendo Wii can be covered in 24 karat gold at a cost of about $500. It takes a week or so for the transformation.
If just gold-plating isn't enough, Goldgenie offers a further customization of its gold-plated items by adding logos or a personal signature that's engraved in the gold with lasers. (Just in case there was any question who it belongs to.)
