Eddie Lampert is basically a real estate guy masquerading as a retailer. Sears Holdings(SHLD) joined together two dying retail brands, Sears and Kmart, but has done virtually nothing to improve their positions in the market. Subsequently, that has wound up hurting the real estate value of Lampert's many properties.
