I work 70 hours a week

These entrepreneurs can't even fathom an 8-hour workday.

You can't say, 'It's my weekend'

We started Konnect PR in 2009, and we have doubled our staff and revenue every year since. When I look at the most successful companies, their CEOs were relentless. They don't say "it's my weekend."

I have two-and-a-half-year-old and a 10-week-old. I sleep about three hours a night. With my first child, I was on a conference call with a client during labor.

My average day looks like this:

5:30 a.m. My kids wake me up. I pull my iPhone from the nightstand and answer e-mails. I feed my little ones and I sometimes listen in on a conference call. I take 40 minutes for a run on the beach.

9 a.m. I get to my desk. I have a good amount of staff (19) doing the work, but I keep an eye on everything that goes out. And of course, when clients are in crisis, I'm the one they call.

7:30 p.m. I have dinner with my clients or prospective clients.

10:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. Back at home, I pour myself a glass of wine and open my laptop. I gather my thoughts, go over news releases, and email my staff to make sure everything is ready for tomorrow.

It's definitely hard sometimes, especially when I'm seeing my kids in the airport as I pass through. But then I look at our growth and I know it's because of the time and energy we've put into it.
