Apple turns iPhones into bricks

A week after Apple launched the iPhone 6, the company released an iOS 8.0.1 update to fix some bugs. But Apple only made things worse: After the update, users complained that their iPhones were unable to connect to cell networks and the fingerprint reader, a security feature, did not work. The update essentially turned iPhones into expensive bricks.

Apple quickly pulled the update, and released iOS 8.0.2 a few days later. But the iOS 8.1 update also plagued some iPhones, including random reboots and slow speeds.
