Dynac / Dymec logo 1956-1959

dynac logo

Hewlett-Packard spun off Dynac in 1956 to build special purpose machines for customers. The name was chosen because the HP logo, when viewed upside-down, looks like a "dy."

The name was changed to Dymec in 1958 to avoid a trademark lawsuit, and it was folded back into HP in 1959.
