Hot Pockets to have 10% less salt and no more artificial flavors.

Your frozen pizza and snacks are getting a health makeover by the end of 2015.

That's when Nestlé promises to remove all artificial flavors and also cut back salt by 10% in these popular foods: Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets, as well as pizzas like DiGiorno, Tombstone, California Pizza Kitchen and Jack's.

A total of 250 products made under these six brands will be affected.

Nestlé (NSRGF) said Tuesday the move was part of its pledge to improve the ingredient quality and nutritional profile of the food it makes.

The company promises that the taste of the products won't be affected.

Nestlé is the latest in a tsunami of companies clamoring to remove those strange, hard-to-pronounce additives from processed foods and drinks.

Similar announcements have come recently from Coca-Cola (KO), Pizza Hut, Tyson (TSN), Panera Bread (PNRA), McDOnald's (MCD) Dunkin' Donuts (DNKN) and others.

Nestlé will also try to educate its customers by including information in the packaging about portion sizes and adding fruits and vegetables to their diets.
