Target is expanding its price match guarantee to items bought online.
The retailer had excluded Target.com purchases from its policy that lets customers get a better deal if they show that someone else is selling the same item for less. Price matching was only available at stores.
But starting Thursday, Target (TGT) says it will also give the price guarantee for online purchases.
Target.com will match prices at 29 retailers, including of course Amazon (AMZN) and Walmart.com. It will also match prices from wholesale clubs such as Costco (COST) and Wal-Mart Stores' (WMT) Sam's Club.
Some of the competitors whose prices will be matched are online-only operations such as Drugstore.com, Wayfair and Newegg.
Target will give shoppers two weeks to match a price.
