Sitting 733 feet above the Columbia River and next to the Historic Columbia River Gorge Highway sits the Vista House. Built on top of a promontory (Crown Point) in 1917 is a memorial to the pioneers of Oregon as well as a comfort station for travelers. In 1971 it was dedicated as a national natural landmark. On the right is Beacon Rock; in the background is Bonneville Dam.
