The first time Michael Keaton took on the role of an editor was when he portrayed the workaholic editor of a scrappy New York paper facing cuts while trying to get to the bottom of several notorious crimes. The 1994 Ron Howard movie had a star-studded cast. It also cast many reporters from New York tabloids as extras, including editor Pete Hamill, one of New York's best known journalists who edited both the Daily News and the Post.
