Marbotic's smart letters and numbers lets you hold physical toys that interact in the digital world.

The system comes with 26 small wooden letters and 10 small numbers in different colors. It guides kids through various lessons via six apps that help with writing, spelling, counting, and basic math.

For example, a recognition game encourages kids to hold a letter and press it on the surface of a tablet. That letter then appears on the screen, with its corresponding phonetic sound.

The system ($90) works with the iPads and select Andriod tablets.
