In the proposed layout for the new stores, there will be multiple eight-foot long displays of cell phones and accessories along the wall. Tables in the middle of the store will allow customers to try out phones. Another table with chairs will be placed off to the side for customers to sit down with sales associates.
To renovate the new stores, the companies anticipate needing to remove all of RadioShack's current floor and wall display fixtures, including graphics, posters and promotional display items. The stores will also be modernized, getting new flooring, ceiling tiles, lighting and even heating and cooling systems, if needed.
