Sonic Sleep
6 of 7
Sonic Sleep aims to improve the quality of your sleep.
The $0.99 app, which launched in 2017, blocks out disruptive sounds, such as snoring or cars. It plays "pink noise" -- which the startup says is more soothing to the ear than "white noise" -- and natural sounds that change and adapt, depending on the noise in your bedroom.
Sonic Sleep's smart alarm clock will wake you during a lighter sleep cycle, so you'll feel more rested when it's time to get up. You can snooze the alarm by shaking your phone rather than hitting an on-screen button.
Other features include meditation and relaxation exercises for when you're having trouble falling asleep, and a sleep coaching service with experts.
For an additional $2.99 per month, users can get more sounds and automatic screen brightness adjustments.
