Technical snaufs aside, Sony's 56-inch OLED TV stole the show. It combines the enhanced resolution of 4K -- or "ultra HD" -- TV with the unmatchable contrast and depth of color that OLED provides.
2013 was the coming out party for 4K TVs, which promise the next major jump in picture quality. Samsung brought out the biggest hardware: It had a whopping 110-inch 4K TV to show off. -Adrian Covert
