The Last Mile, a tech incubator at San Quentin State Prison, allows a select group of inmates to form startup ideas and pitch them to venture capitalists.
Picture this: you see someone walking down the street and like their sunglasses. You don't want to approach the person to ask where they got them. Instead you snap a picture and your phone tells you the type of sunglasses the person is wearing and lets you click to buy them.
That's the idea behind Ray Ho's app concept, Gimme.
"Before I became incarcerated and given these fabulous state blues to wear," Ho joked. "I was very passionate about fashion."
