This concept vehicle was created by the Swiss performance tuning firm Rinspeed working together with the electronics firm Haman. The idea was inspired by a popular science fiction novel, "The Swarm," by Frank Schätzing.

The idea is that animals -- or cars -- working together can become much more intelligent than they are by themselves. The electrically driven microMax uses cloud software to navigate through complex, rapidly changing urban traffic.

City dwellers who want a ride can just tap into a computer system and the network of vehicles will instantly decide which car can provide the quickest route to the desired destination. Full commercial production is under serious consideration.
