Just before the Pebble Beach events really got cranking, General Motors offered journalists their first chance to drive the new 2014 Corvette Stingray. As it turns out, the cheapest car in this gallery could be among the most satisfying to drive.
With its 455 horsepower -- or a little more, depending on trim level -- the new Corvette offers true race car performance that's easily manageable and comfortable on the road. Prices start at a relatively paltry $52,000.
