Its fuel economy, at 22 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving, is right in line with the rest of the pack. (Only the Toyota Avalon, at 25 mpg, is far out ahead.) Where the Cadenza falls short, and only slightly, is in that hard-to-define thing called sophistication.

There are other big cars out there that offer a similarly enjoyable drive but with a smoother ride. To be exact, I'm thinking of the Chevrolet Impala. Still, some car shoppers might even prefer the Cadenza's more nailed-down feel and I wouldn't blame them if they did.
