Groupon CEO's weirdest moments

The 32-year-old Andrew Mason joked about dollhouses, gorilla suits, and fat camps during his tenure as Groupon CEO.

Mason showed his philanthropic side -- sort of -- by setting up "Grouspawn," a foundation that awards college scholarships to babies whose parents used a Groupon discount on their first date.

"Eventually, if it hasn't happened already, people would start going out and using Groupons on dates, get to know each other better, eventually have intercourse, and maybe even have a child," said Mason at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in September 2010 in San Francisco. "And while parents undoubtedly feel like they own that child, we also have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership for these Groupon babies. After all, they only exist because of us."

Details on the program are scant, but applications are accepted at grouspawn.com.
