Dodge's new compact is a huge improvement but it's got a few weak spots.
Despite the fact that it's supposed to be a compact car, the Dart's actually classified as a mid-sized model by the EPA based on its interior space. It's roomier inside -- much roomier, in some cases -- than competing compact cars.
In a nice touch, the back seats are noticeably higher than the front, providing a decent view for backseat passengers. It keeps them from feeling like they're riding in a box.
