A drive through Custer State park is like a return to what the west used to be: wild. Buffalo, antelope deer, wild donkeys, and elk roam freely and quite often are in the road forcing you to slow down and simply enjoy. The rolling hills, plains and hills covered in Ponderosa Pines inspire one to go for a hike and listen as the wind creates waves in the grass.
Come to the Black Hills of South Dakota and enjoy the beauty of Pactola Lake, Custer State Park and Spearfish Canyon all in one day. Then go to the Badlands the next. Amazing.
