Trail Ridge Road goes from Estes Park, CO, to Grand Lake, CO, (48 miles) through Rocky Mountain National Park. This is the highest continuous paved road in the U.S. At its highest, it's 12,183 feet above sea level. Pretty hard to beat the scenery and the fresh air!
