Big power
The Vanquish is powered by a V12 engine that puts out 565 horsepower. Press the elegant key fob into a hole in the dashboard, and that engine starts up with a wonderfully nasty snarl before settling into something like a rather angry purr.
The transmission is controlled in the now traditional Aston Martin way, with a series of buttons across the dashboard: P, R, N and D.
Press D, mash the gas and, especially if you're on a racetrack like I was, get ready for a marvelous ride.
