1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL
This gullwing Mercedes was originally bought and owned by Hollywood movie star Clark Gable. He modified the car slightly by adding Rudge racing wheels and a wood and chrome Nardi steering wheel. It also has a set of fitted luggage.
Classic Mercedes gullwing cars have been hot items on the collector car circuit lately, often selling for incredibly high sums. In January of this year, for instance, one sold at a Gooding & Co. auction for just over $4.6 million.
