General Motors reveals the most powerful base-model Corvette ever made. It's the most fuel-efficient, too.
Interiors have been a weak point for Corvettes for a long time. This new 'Vette improves things considerably with nicer design, higher quality materials and better construction. The wrap-around cockpit, once an iconic feature of the Corvette, returns here but with a more modern asymetrical design.
Some features were inspired by trips to the test track. Those include softer materials on the edge of the center console where the driver will press his leg during high-speed cornering and a steel reinforced grab bar for the passenger.
