Detroit automakers don't make it into the influential magazine's list.
Totally redesigned for the 2013 model year, the new Accord earned very high marks from Consumer Reports. The car is "roomy, nice to drive, well equipped and very fuel efficient," according to the magazine. In an Accord with a four-cylinder engine, the magazine got 40 miles per gallon in highway driving tests, just as good as the subcompact Honda Fit.
Fuel economy figures in this gallery are not EPA estimates, but are based on Consumer Reports' own fuel economy tests. They represent combined city and highway driving.
