Detroit automakers don't make it into the influential magazine's list.
Two of the toughest competitors in this category -- the Toyota Rav4 and Subaru Forester -- have just been redesigned and testing isn't complete on them yet. In the meantime, the Honda CR-V takes the top slot with a long list of strong points including its ride, braking, fuel economy and backseat roominess.
We'll have to see if it can hang on to this top spot next year.
