The all-new full-sized Chevrolet looks and performs beyond its mass-market league.
Now, the car I tested was not cheap in any absolute sense. With all the options, it cost nearly $40,000. (The Impala's base price starts at roughly $27,000)
Keep in mind, though, that this was a big, roomy automobile with features not typically found on your average car. The front seats were heated and cooled and a panoramic sunroof let occupants in every seat enjoy the sun. The cruise control was not the ordinary one-speed kind but the "active" sort that automatically maintained a following distance behind cars ahead.
You could expect to pay far more than that for a European luxury car with this kind of room and features. And, honestly, other than the part about it not actually being a European luxury car, you're not really going to miss much.
