Sedan: Maserati Quattraporte
The newly redesigned Quattraporte has more rear legroom and sharper body creases than the outgoing version. It also has a choice of two Ferrari-built turbocharged engines, either a V6 or a V8, and an eight-speed transmission.
The 524-horsepower V8 Quattraporte is the fastest sedan Maserati has ever offered. Robb Report also credits the car with superb ride and handling qualities. Prices start at about $135,000.
The other contenders in this category were the Aston Martin Rapide S, Audi S8, Lexus IS 350 Sport and the Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II.
