Galpin Ford GTR1
It's not often that an auto dealer builds its own cars. But Galpin Ford (F) in Los Angeles isn't your typical car dealer. Besides being the top Ford dealer in America it also operates its own car customizing shop, Galpin Auto Sports.
The GTR-1 is Galpin's idea of what the Ford GT supercar might have gone on to become if Ford hadn't stopped making it in 2006. It's powered by a 1,024 horsepower 5.4-liter V8 engine. Galpin announced it would produce, at most, 24 of them at an initial price of just over $1 million each.
