The new Mustang, which will go on sale in the fall of 2015, will have independent rear suspension instead of a solid rear axle, almost all Mustangs have had until now. It will also be available with a 300-horsepower 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, something that hasn't been available on a Mustang since the SVO.
A 5.0-liter V8, with more power than the current car's, will also be offered along with a 3.7-liter V6 which will put out slightly less power than the four-cylinder engine. The V6 will be offered on a low-priced entry-level Mustang.
