History of the Volkswagen Beetle

January of this year marked the 65th anniversary of the arrival of the Volkswagen Beetle to the United States. After only 2 redesigns in its history, the Beetle is nothing like the original. The newest models are much safer, and have an inline four-cylinder engine powering the front wheels.

But even though the formula is different, the New Beetle is based on the same principles of the original. It's small and fun and continues to be one of Volkswagen's most popular models.
