While most of Nicoll's cars were in nearly original condition, the engine in this car, while the right type, is not the one installed at the factory. Some other parts on the car are also not original. Because of this, appraisers were not able to determine if this car was an authentic high performance Chevelle SS or a less valuable Chevelle that had been converted later.
