In the only film in the series featuring none of the major characters, Sean Boswell, the character played by Lucas Black, combines an American muscle car with an iconic Japanese engine. He modifies a 1967 Ford Mustang into a drift car using an engine from a Nissan Skyline, a legendary Japanese sports car.
