The Fiat 124 Spider is an intriguing mixture of Italian and Japanese craftsmanship. When Fiat decided it wanted to add a roadster in its lineup, the automaker turned to Mazda, which already a great one under development -- the new Miata -- instead of creating its own from scratch, Fiat.
This car is the result of that partnership. While it's got a lot of Miata, the Fiat version is a littler bigger, has more luggage space and a more powerful Fiat engine.
It mostly keeps the Miata's nice interior and has the same easy-to-use manually folding top. I haven't driven it yet, myself, but I'm looking forward to it.
