Cookies get fancy


Cookies will become a common offering on dessert menus next year, the experts predicted.

"Cookies and cookie bars are making a comeback on menus," said Mary Chapman, senior director, product innovation at Technomic. "They are small portions, portable, shareable and they of course have the nostalgic factor."

And don't be surprised for the hybrid trend to create "brookies" (brownies and cookies).
