"A guest approached the concierge team and mentioned that he was feeling homesick and missing his home country [Nigeria] -- especially his mother's cooking, particularly her special chicken stew.

"The concierge offered, with help of the Head Chef Shailesh Deshmukh, to have it made in-house, especially for him. To ensure the ingredients were perfect, the concierge managed to contact the guest's mother [in Nigeria] so she could direct the page boy on what to buy. While on the line, she asked that we have the chef call her for specific instructions on how the dish should be prepared. Once our chef was all set to cook, he made the call, gathered all the information, and even had a nice catch-up on Nigerian cuisine and cooking tips.

"The guest was totally blown away with the gesture and I believe he even shed a tear! He later informed us that he had made a Facetime call to his mum while having dinner in the apartment and she had said how good it looked!"
