This imposing Cadillac was ordered in 1941 by W. Deering Howe, a member of Long Island's moneyed elite, for his second wife, Elizabeth Shevlin Smith. It's one of only a few surviving pre-war Cadillacs with such custom coachwork, which was created by Derham in the firm's Pennsylvania workshop.
