"Bring back inspired leadership. It has been over 30 years since America started to lose faith in the presidency. Remind us that the character and actions of the president create more positive change than the mere fact of holding office. Try to reach across party lines effectively -- we need bipartisanship now perhaps more than ever.

"President Clinton understood how, the last two presidents not so much. Don't be afraid to highlight those in Congress who hold up progress when they put party, ideology, or themselves, before the people.

"As for focus, the erosion of the middle class is the single biggest threat to the future of the United States. Your first priority should be to protect it and take measures in all policy areas to both boost the prosperity of those in it, and reinforce the possibility of others to grow into it."
