Sony has done a good job making the PS4 system software feel responsive and functional. Microsoft made the Xbox One OS feel innovative.
Both have their quirks, and both have plenty of room for improvement, but the Xbox One's combination of pinned shortcuts, snapped apps, and voice-controlled shortcuts have much more to offer going forward than Sony's utilitarian software.
